Seam slippage/seam strength Testing Procedure.

Seam slippage/seam strength Testing Procedure.

Step: 2- Precaution /Condition Taking before testing
Receiving samples are required minimum 6 hours condition with temperature @ 20±2 °C & humidity 65±2 °C
Step: 3- Cut sample systematically in both direction like Warp & Weft in Left, Middle, Right position with proper revelling
Step: 4- Mark the parallel line  of 38mm with warp and weft direction for finding of centre position of the specimen
Step: 5- Testing procedure with different methods.
Use 40 Tex Cotton Polyester Core spun yarn thread for all ISO & ASTMD Test method.
Use 100% Polyester core spun yarn with 40 tex thread for M&S.
Use 90metric needle for ISO METHODE &80metric needle for M&S TEST METHODE and  SPI(stich per inch) should be check same on that  test  specimen
For ISO 13935-2 Cut sample size for warp-700mm weft and 250mm warp ,For weft-700mm warp and 250mm weft
For M&S warp seam slippage prepare a specimen 350mm in the warp and 400mmweft
And for weft seam slippage  prepare a specimen 350mm in the weft and 400mmin warp
On the folded specimen make a lock stich seam of  11 stiches per 20mm parallel to and at a distance from the fold of 20mm.
Use a set square to cut four specimens at right angle to the seam line by placing the setsquare along the seam line and marking a line of 900to this Each specimen should be 75mm wide.
Test wash and unwashed specimen for M&S, Follow wash care as per customer recommended .
Set the Pre-load for  GSM≤200-2N,and GSM≥200-5N
Step: 6- Then taken 3 different reading with Universal Tensile Strength Testing Machine
Step: 7-Notedown three different reading as well as seam opening type also
Step: 8- Give Average result of 3 different Reading and pass/ fail according to the  standard protocol requirement.
Step: 9 Report the average of the slippage result to the nearest 0.1kg for M&S
