Color Fastness to Washing Test (ISO 105 C06, & AATCC 61 2A)


Step: 1- Precaution /Condition Taking before testing
Receiving samples are required minimum 6 hours condition with temperature @ 20±2 °C & humidity 65±2 °C.

Attach sample and multi-fibre as per below sample size.

Step 2- Preparation of solution.

ISO & M&S: 4.0 gpl  ECE phosphate reference detergent B
gpl Sodium perborate (Tetra hydrate)(NA2BO3 4HPO4).

AATCC: 1.5 gpl AATCC Standard detergent without OBA.
Step: 3- Testing procedure with different methods.

 Note :-Please pre heat the solution and container before  start the test.


RINSING PROCEDURE

Step: 4- For ISO standard:-Take separately 100ml of  distilled &tape water in two  different beaker.

Step:-5 Put the specimen in to tape water beaker and thoroughly  stir for 1min.Then transfer  the specimen to distilled water beaker and repeat the process.

Step:6-For M&S standard:-

Step: 7- Fill 1 of the 2ltr beaker with cold distilled water and the second beaker with cold tape water.

Step:8-Place the composite specimen into the beaker with distilled water and stir 1 min thoroughly  then transfer the same into the 2nd beaker and repeat the process .

Step:9- For AATCC method-Rinse each test specimen  three times  in beaker in distilled water  for 1 minute with strear.

Step: 10- Then allow to dry in below 60°C with air dry.

Step:11-Then rating with viewing cabinet with the help of colour change grey scale.
