ELASTICITY OF FABRIC TEST PROCEDURE (EN 14704-1 2005 , M & S P15 Part 1 & ASTM D3107)

 ASTM D3107
EN 14704-1,   M&S P15 PART 1

Step: 1- Precaution /Condition Taking before testing
Receiving samples are required minimum 16 hours condition with temperature @ 20±2 °C & humidity 65±2 °C
For  ISO METHODE  Cut 5 specimen avoid 150mmfrom selvedge and cut sample size 60mm warp X250mm by ravelling 5mm from both and make it sample size 50mmX250mm
Mark the batch mark of 100mm from the centre position of the specimen
For M&S method  :-avoid fabric with 300mmof the selvedge .no two specimen should contain the same set of warp or weft yarn
Using the metal ruler and scissor, cut 3 specimen each250mmX85mm, the longer dimension in the direction of stretch
Mark the centre of the specimen 75mm either side of the centre , draw a line across the specimen
Step: 2- Testing procedure with different methods.
Step:3-For M&S and ISO Method-After completion of all cycle the cross head returned to zero position, then carefully remove the specimen from the jaw and place on a smooth flat surface .
Step:4-After one minute ,measure the distance between the outer line . and inter it with computer system then system will saw us the  Extension result of 1 minute.
Step:5-The allow to keep in that position for 30minute and measure,
Step:6- For ASTMD 3107:-place the batch mark 250±1mm apart in the centre of the specimen
Ensure that specimen should free from fold, creases or wrinkle,
Step:7-Revel the specimen to a width of 50±1mm(2.00±0.05) taking approximately the same number of yarn from each side of the specimen
Step:8-Fold one end of the specimen 32mm and stich a seam approximately 25mm along in the centre of the stripe on the fold . And allow to lay the specimen on smooth flat surface and allow to relax for 4hour condition.
Step:7-Clamp the end of one specimen in the top clamp of the tester, and apply the 4lbf tension with the tension load
Pre-stress the specimen slowly by cycling 3times , one complete cycle should be complete with in the 5 minute,
Step:8-Measure and record the distance between bench to the nearest1mm ,In the time interval of 10sec,30sec and 30min &1hour as per customer requirement
Step:9-Remove tension weight and allow to recover without tension , and measure the growth with tension in the interval time of 10sec,30sec ,30min and 1hour  and note down,
     (Calculation Of % stretch:-Extended length-original length /original lengthX100)
Step:10-Place the specimen of the pair in the pair in the stretch testing equipment as directed in, Then measure and record the distance between the bench mark to the nearest 1%of of original gauge and record as distance
Extent the specimen 85%and 25%of the average fabric stretch calculate And hold for 30min  record as distance
Step:12-After 30min  release the  specimen from the bottom clamp and allow it to hang freely And measure the time interval of time 10sec ,30sec and 30min and record
Step:-13-Then calculate the %of growth after extension of the fabric =(Recovered length-original length /original length X100)
                                 CALCULATION OF RECOVARY
Calculation =Extended length –recovery length X100
                                          Original length
Report the 30min of stretch growth and recovery of the specimen
