a)      TAKE ABOUT 9 ML OF CONC. HCl SAMPLE IN 1000 ML OF DISTILLED WATER.

 

b)      PREPARE 0.1N SUCCINIC ACID SOLUTION BY DISSOLVING 1.47612 Gms. OF SUCCINIC ACID IN 250 ML. OF DISTILLED WATER BY USING MEASURING FLASK. THIS SOLUTION IS TITRATED WITH 25 ML OF 0.1N NaOH SOLUTION BY USING PHENOLPHTHALEIN AS AN INDICATOR. END POINT IS PINK TO COLOURLESS.NOTE THE BURRETE READING. SUPPOSE X Ml.

 

c)      THEN ABOVE PREPARED HCl SOLUTION (a) IS TITRATED AGAINST 25ML OF 0.1N NaOH SOLUTION BY USING PHENOLPHTHALEIN AS AN INDICATOR. NOTE THE BURRETE READING. THIS READING SHOULD BE X ML OTHERWISE IS TO BE ADJUSTED BY DISSOLVING THE HCl SOLUTION OR BY ADDING THE CONC. HCl SOLUTION.
