pH Testing Procedures

                  CORE pH  Testing Procedure
                        (ISO 3071 & AATCC81)

Step: 1- Precaution /Condition Taking before testing
All Receiving samples are required minimum 4 hours condition with temperature @ 20±2 °C & humidity 65±2 °C

                 FOR ISO TEST PROCEDURE
Step: 2- Take  accurately 2.0±0.1gms of fabric  in three separate position.

Step: 3- Cut the sample and make it in small pieces . The size should be not exceeding from 0.5mm

Step:4-Measure the Distilled water ph and note down . And follow the customer protocol . If customer is recomondet to use  KCL then add 0.1N KCL and Prepair the solution
Step: 5-Then immerse  the specimen in to with 100ml  solution  to the conical flask  . And allow it to roteting with rotary shaker for 2 hour with 30rpm.

             FOR AATCC TEST PROCEDURE
Step:6-Use 10±0.1g of specimen of the material to be tested.and cut the specimen into small pieces

Step:7-Boil 250mL distilled water at a moderate rate for 10min. Immerse the specimen , cover the beaker with a watchglass,And boil for additional 10min.

Step:8-Allow the covered beaker and keep it for cooling in room temperature. Extract the solution to another beaker and allow to measure

                                                                        MEASUREMENT

Step :9- Before measuring the solution  calibrate the pH meter with  Buffer solution  4.0,7.0 and 9.18
Step:10-Then thoroughly wash the pH rod And allow to measure  in three different extracted solution .Discard 1st reading and consider average reading 2nd and 3rd  solution

                      pH=2nd +3rd
     Step:9-For AATCC method Directly  measure the extract solution and note down
