pH Meter Use and Calibration


Purpose:- This procedure describes how to calibrate and use pH Meter.

Equipment Required-
Distilled Water
Blotting Paper
Standard Buffer pH Solution: 7(0.02@20°C, 4(0.02@20°C & 9.18(0.02@20°C
Washing Bottle
Beakers
Process:-
First wash thoroughly to the pH Electrode by the Distilled Water & clean with blotting paper.
Then deep the pH electrode into the pH buffer solution 7.00 & push the clear memory then push the Button no.  3 for all cleared.
Then Wait for stabilizing and push Button No. 8 (i.e. Calibration-7) then Enter.
It show’s the pH - 7( 02, MV-0.00 ± 30 at temperature 250C. 
Then Take out the pH Electrode from the Buffer Solution and thoroughly wash, and directly deep into the 4 pH buffer solution & push the Button No. 7 (i.e. Calibration-4). It shows the reading 4 ( 0.2@25°C with MV +177±30,
Then pH electrode is thoroughly wash and deep in to the pH buffer solution no. 9.18 and push the button no. 9. (I.e. calibration 9.2) then Enter, it shows the pH 9.18(0.02@25°C with MV -128(30.
Then measurement pH

WHEN IT SHOULD BE PERFORMED: -
Calibration should be performed at least pH Machine before use in every day.
